At least 13 people were drowned in different parts of the country in the first 15 days of this month, according to Swimming Instruction and Life Saving Union.
Sources said that 11 of the dead were men while two others were women.
The number is four times higher in July this year compared to the corresponding period of the previous year when nine people were drowned.
Earlier, the union reported that at least 15 people were drowned in different lakes and rivers in Finland in June this year.
Eleven of them are males while the rest were females.
