At least 34 people were killed in fire at different parts of the country during the last seven months ending July, rescue department sources said.
 
Although the number of casualty in fire incidents was very much high in the first six months, only two people were killed in the last month of July, said sources.
 
Most of the incidents of fire took place at block houses where 15 people were killed while seven died in row houses. Other incidents of human casualties occurred when fire broke out at row houses, town houses and holiday house, sources said.
 
The rescue authorities identified that most of the victims were male and elderly people.
 
A total of 41 people were killed in fire in 2012 while 35 were killed in 2011.
