The remains of colonel Reino Hallamaas, who died in Spain 34 years ago was buried at the Sysmä church graveyard on Sunday with due state honour.
 
Four officers of the defence forces put his body for eternal peace beside the grave of his wife Britanee Streng after showing guard of honour to the late army official.
 
Reino Hallamaas, creator of Finnish radio intelligence (1899-1979) went to exile in Spain during the Second World War and started to live there where he worked as cardamom farmer and an entrepreneur.
 
After his death in Spain, he was buried there for the first time.
 
The body was brought to Finland recently and buried on Sunday after 34 years of his death.
