Accident day will be celebrated today in the country to create awareness about safety in workplaces.
 
The program will emphasize on safety issues of the working places and during leisure times.
 
The main objective is to aware people about the small matters which are important to avoid big incidents.
 
In Finland, more than one million accidents are documented every year. Approximately 2,800 people die in the misfortunes.

A total of 29 persons were killed and 697 injured in as much as 558 road accidents in the month of June this year, according to preliminary data of Statistics Finland.
 
The number of persons killed was five higher and that of persons injured 59 higher compared to the corresponding period in the last year.
 
Of the persons who were killed, 21 travelled by passenger car, one by van and five by motorcycle. Cyclists killed in road traffic accidents numbered one.
