Police arrested one person on charge of hacking thousands of passwords of different online accounts, security numbers of credit cards and personal identity numbers.

Police also seized all the computers of the  alleged hacker, who was arrested from Helsinki last week and imposed ban on his travelling. The accused also confessed his hacking activities to police.

The communication office, however, is yet to know whether the information gathered through hacking was disclosed to other or used for drawing money.

“After initial interrogation it was found that the man did his hacking works alone,” said the investigation officer of Helsinki police, Jukkapekka Risu.

Police said that the motive of the hacking could not be known but some time the people could be involved in hacking to show his expertise in this sector.
