The Prime Minister of Romania, Victor Ponta will arrive in Finland on Monday on an official visit, said a government press release.
Victor Ponta is scheduled to meet his Finnish counterpart Jyrki Katainen in Helsinki during the visit and will discuss key EU issues including the economic situation, strengthening of the Economic and Monetary Union as well as economic growth and employment in Europe.
Regarding Finland and Romania relationship, the discussion will focus on cooperation opportunities in the field of education.
Ponta will also meet the Speaker of Parliament, Eero Heinäluoma and Finance Minister Jutta Urpilainen, and visit the Aalto University together with Minister of Education and Science, Krista Kiuru.
The premiers will hold a joint press conference at 14.00 to point out various aspects of the visit, the press release added.
