FTimes-STT Report, October 9

A prisoner set fire in his prison cell at Oulu central jail at Nahkatehtaankatu  area on Tuesday evening, jail and police sources said.

Sources said that the fire broke out at about 5:00 pm when the prisoner burnt some of his properties inside the cell but it was limited only in the room.

The Jail authority, however, evacuated the prisoners of the nearby cells to avoid casualty before the fire fighters rushed to the spot.

The prisoner was sent to hospital for check-up.
