The number of foreign language speaking people increased significantly in Helsinki in the last 10 years, according to the statistics of the Helsinki city corporation.
 
The statistics said that one in every eight people living in Helsinki now speaks in foreign language and the number increased by 7.5 percent in the last 10 years.
 
Presently 73608 foreign speaking people are living in Helsinki and the number is 5285 higher compared to the number of previous year.
 
Most of the foreign language speakers speak in Russian language followed by the languages of Estonia, Somalia and English.
 
The statistics also estimated that the number of foreign speaking people will double in next 20 years.
