Mon, 14 Oct, 2013 12:03:51 AM FTimes Report, October 14 Photo - Lehtikuva. The Prime Minister, Jyrki Katainen is scheduled to make an official visit to Italy on Monday, according to a government press release.
The PM will hold a meeting with his Italian counterpart Enrico Letta in Rome during the visit.
The premiers will discuss issues on the agenda of the October European Council including measures to boost growth and competitiveness, efforts related to employment and prevention of youth unemployment, and ways to promote the Digital Single Market.
The discussions will also focus on the progress of the euro area adjustment programme and economic situations and structural reforms in Finland and Italy.
During his visit, Prime Minister Katainen will give a speech on a fair and successful Europe at an event organised by the Italian Institute of International Affairs.
The PM will also hold a meeting with the Italian President Giorgio Napolitano and former prime minister, Senator Mario Monti, the press release added.
