Two elderly persons were killed in a road accident at Itäväylä area in Helsinki.
Police said that the two persons sustained serious wounds in the accident on Saturday and succumbed to their wounds in the hospital on Sunday.
The accident occurred when a speeding private car coming from wrong side collided with another private car coming from the opposite direction at Itäväylä area on Saturday night.
The elderly man, aged about 85 years, was driving the car from the wrong direction with a 70-year-old woman as passenger.
Both were injured seriously in the accident and were taken to the hospital in a critical condition where they died on Sunday morning.
Police said that no sign of taking alcohol by the drivers was found. More News
