Mon, 21 Oct, 2013 12:05:26 AM FTimes-STT Report, October 21 Photo - Lehtikuva. The salaries of employees differ at different ministries, even when they hold the same position with similar responsibilities, reported Finnish language newspaper Etelä-Suomen Sanomat on Sunday.
According to the report, the salaries of employees are varied by EUR 100, if the officials are transferred to other ministries.
The salaries might be increased or reduced when employees change offices from one ministry to another, although their post and responsibilities remain in same status.
The salaries of the employees change as every ministry maintains its own salary structure, resulting in the complexity in salary system, the report said referring ministry sources.
Earlier, the government had taken an initiative to form a uniform salary structure in all ministries, but failed due to various complications.
The authority is now thinking again to overcome the salary inconsistencies as the government undertook a plan to bring some ministries under some joint responsibilities.
