The Deputy Mayor of Rauma municipality, who has been convicted for assaulting minor children, is likely to face departmental action.
 
The Satakunta district court on Tuesday convicted the deputy mayor for assaulting the under aged children, and ordered to realise 60 days salary as fine from the convict.
 
According to the allegation, the Deputy Mayor assaulted the children different times in between 2010 and 2012; the allegations were proved by the court beyond doubt.
 
Following the conviction, the city council is planning to take measures against the convict as per its rules.
 
The Chamber group of the council -- led by the president -- will make decision in this regard soon, according to a newsletter of Rauma municipality.
