Opposition Suomen Kskusta Puolue (centre party) continued to gain in popularity as it became the most popular party in the country, said a YLE survey report.
The report said Keskusta would get 24.1% votes, if elections were to be held now, up by 0.9% from last month’s survey results.
Keskusta betters Kansallinen Kokoomus (national coalition party) by 5.8%. With 18.3% support, Kansallinen, the biggest component of the six-party ruling alliance, stands in number two position in the survey.
The Perussuomalaiset (true Finns) in the third position with 17.2% support, the survey report said.
In contrast, the Suomen Sosialidemokraattinen Puolue’s (social democratic party) popularity slid by 1.5% to stand at 15.4%, meaning that last month's rise melted away as the party returned to the level of September's poll reading.
The Vihreä liitto (greens league) is popular among 9%, followed by Vasemmistoliitto (left alliance) 7.4%, Suomen Ruotsalainen Kansanpuolue (Swedish people’s party of Finland) at 4.1%, and Suomen Kristillisdemokraatit (Christian democrats) 3.2%.
Taloustutkimus interview 3,999 people between October 30 and November 26 for the poll. Margin of error in the poll was 1.4%.
