A former police detective, who had been dismissed for having sex while discharging official duty, has lodged a complaint with the supreme Administrative Court against the termination, reported a Finnish language evening newspaper Ilta-Sanomat.

The former police official also demanded on Tuesday that the civil service committee which sacked him from the service in January should repeal its decision.

The detective was dismissed because he had repeatedly indulged in sexual activities in a car while on duty.

He regarded the dismissal unfair and claimed that his actions had not harmed his works.

He had been convicted of negligence in duty once before in December last year, but was allowed to continue with the job until the January conviction.
