One person has died after being submerged in ice at Savonlinna in South Savonia on Sunday, the police have said.
Rescue and emergency services received an alarm at 2pm in Syväsalmentie and conducted extensive search to recover the victim.
Later the rescue team found the body from the area.
Detail of the incident could not be known immediately and police are investigating the matter as an unnatural death incident.
