In the survey, 71% of the respondents were opposed, while 17% supported the legalization of cannabis.
The survey, however, said more than half of the respondents expressed their confidence on the present legislators terming them appropriate.
About 20% regarded the laws as too strict, while a similar number viewed the legislation as too wide and lax.
The survey was conducted this week by Think If Laboratories in which more than 1,700 adults responded to the online panel discussion. The margin of error was +/-3%.
