A former school building, located in Kihniö in Pirkanmaa region, was destroyed in fire on Wednesday evening.
Two people inside the building were exposed to the smoke but were not hospitalised.
About a dozen fire and emergency service units rushed to the scene curtailing the threat of the blaze spreading to the nearby buildings.
The cause of the fire, thought to have originated from a boiler room, is not yet known.
The 400 square feet 1944 wood and brick building has been privately owned in recent times.
