A fire on Tuesday morning completely destroyed an industrial building at Naantali in southwest Finland.

No one was inside the 1,000-square-metre building owned by Hietakari Group when the fire broke out and no one was injured.

Rescue and emergency teams arrived at the scene at around 4:00 am and extinguished the blaze in about an hour.

Residents in the area were advised to shut ventilation as a precaution.

Kristian Lahti, CEO of Hietakari Group estimates the damages at one million euros. Lahti says the fire is suspected to have originated from an electrical switchboard.
