An aerial bomb from the Second World War was found at Voures area in Tampere on Wednesday, police said.
The bomb, about 30 centimetres thick and 70 centimetres long, was found as excavation work was going on in the Rautiolanrinne near Ruskontie.
The police cordoned off the area and cleared the site and nearby building as a precaution.
Bomb specialists from the Defence Forces arrived and removed the bomb from the scene.
The police confirmed that the measures did not pose serious danger.
