Finnish police is investigating a suspected leak of the Defense Ministry's secret NATO-related documents from a parliamentary committee, local media reported Wednesday.

The leak focuses on information concerning 57 mutual objectives made by Finland and NATO as part of their partnership, said Finnish commercial broadcaster MTV.

The objectives were listed in a confidential memorandum, which the Finnish Defense Ministry sent to members of the Foreign Affairs and Defense committees in May 2014.

So far it is unclear which committee leaked the document.

Both Finnish Defense Minister Carl Haglund and chair of Finnish Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee Timo Soini have confirmed the information reported by MTV.

The news came as Finland is said to sign a so-called host nation support agreement with NATO together with Sweden on Thursday at the NATO summit in Wales.
