A pedestrian was run over by a motorcycle on Friday night in Loimaa, Southwest Finland.
 
The Southwest Finland police said the motorcyclist was riding along the road when suddenly a man walking by the roadside turned to the centre of the road and started waving hand.
 
The intention of the pedestrian was to stop the motorcycle. The motorcyclist however did not manage to dodge the pedestrian who was hit and died on the spot.
 
The motorcyclist escaped with minor injuries.
 
Meanwhile, two bodies were discovered on Saturday in Iijärvi, Suomussalmi. According to the rescue services, a capsized boat was also found nearby. One of the dead had been wearing a life vest. The cause of the accident is still not known.
 
In yet another incident, a middle-aged man was killed on Saturday in a hunting accident in Pudasjärvi, northern Ostrobothnia.
 
The Oulu police said the man’s hunting gun went off accidentally killing him on the spot.
 
The accident did not harm other people.
