Prime Minister Alexander Stubb on Sunday hailed the good relationship he enjoys with Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja despite the difference in their ideological backgrounds.
Speaking during the Yle Radio Prime Minister Interview Hour programme, Stubb described his relationship with Tuomioja as good and functional.
Tuomioja is reported to have expressed a view on the new round of sanctions on Russia different to the government’s position.
The premier said Tuomioja is a politician experienced in foreign affairs who has his own strong views which has to be respected.
