The Kajaani District Court on Monday sentenced a man to life imprisonment for killing a woman.
The court convicted the man, as the allegations brought against him of shooting the woman at a close range were proved beyond doubt.
The 37-year-old man is said to have gone together with his partner and another man to a house.
The man then shot the 34-year-old woman at the head inside the house.
The motivation behind the killing was revealed to be a lost batch of 10-gram amphetamine.
The crime came to light when the police stopped a car in which the accomplices were burning the clothes used in the killing.
The court also ruled the perpetrator to pay 10,000 euros in compensation to the family of the deceased.
