The Suomen Keskusta (Centre Party) has reinforced its position as the most popular political party, according to a survey commissioned by the national broadcasting company YLE.
According to the survey findings, the Centre Party’s popularity increased while other parties lost ground. The Keskusta’s popularity has risen by two percentage points from the previous month’s survey, standing now at 22 per cent.
The popularity of Kansallinen Kokoomus (National Coalition Party) stands at 20.4 per cent, posting nearly one percentage point decline from the previous month.
The Perussuomalaiset (Finns Party) commands a 16.6 per cent support, the Suomen Sosialidemokraattinen Puolue (Social Democratic Party of Finland-SDP) 15.2 per cent and the Vasemmistoliito (Left Alliance) 8.3 per cent.
The Vihreä Liito’s (Green League) popularity has declined slightly to 7,8 per cent, the support for the Suomen Ruotsalainen Kansanpuolue (Swedish People’s Party of Finland) has increased by nearly a percentage point to 4.6 per cent while the support for the Suomen Kristillisdemokraatit (Christian Democrats of Finland) stands at 3 per cent, a little less than the previous survey.
