The Helsinki District Court also ruled to continue with the pre-trial detention of Aarnio.
The prosecution believes there is a risk that the investigation will be tampered with, if Aarnio is released.
State Prosecutor Jarmo Hirvonen said a free Aarnio could influence witnesses and evidence that could be presented during the trial.
Aarnio’s defence disputed the claim and called for his release.
The pre-trial investigation into the numerous offences alleged to have been committed by Aarnio came to a close about a week ago.
The prosecutors estimated that some charges could be prosecuted before the end of the year.
Aarnio has been in detention since November last year. He is suspected to have committed around 30 offences. Aarnio has denied all charges brought against him.
