Forum focuses on innovative businesses, future education

The Northern Future Forum will bring together for the fourth time the prime ministers of Nordic countries, Baltic states and United Kingdom on November 6-7 to discuss future trends in northern Europe.
 
Hosted by Prime Minister Alexander Stubb, the seminar will stimulate debate on means to support innovative business activities and improve the competitiveness of education systems, said a press release of the Government Communications Department issued on Wednesday.
 
In addition to the prime ministers, around 80 experts from Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and UK will also participate in the informal discussions and exchange of ideas, according to the release.
 
The moderators of the discussions include Aalto University Development Director Jari Jokinen, Ministry of Employment and the Economy Head of Division Jaani Heinonen, Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation Director Ulla Hietala, Confederation of Finnish Industries Director Leena Mörttinen, KoppiCatch Oy Chairman Inka Mero, Idealist Group Creative Director Saku Tuominen, Microsoft Director Kati Tiainen, and Prime Minister’s Office General Secretary Pekka Timonen.
