The Chair of Soumen Keskusta (Centre Party), Juha Sipilä on Saturday said that his party is ready for radical reorganisation in relation to state assets.

The Keskusta chief at party rally in Pori also said that despite the Ukraine crisis the application for joining NATO issue is not on the agenda of his party.

Instead, the capabilities and resources of the Defence Forces should be strengthened, Sipilä suggested.

“Finland is not faced with threat, we will not allow our sovereignty to be called into question in any way,” said Sipilä, adding that Finland's ability to control its territories should not be doubted.

He said that his party does not want to revive debt. Instead, advocated for projects which are able to create permanent jobs in the long term and at the same time improve industrial competitiveness.

Center Party is currently the most popular party in the country and at the moment, Sipilä is likely to be the country's next Prime Minister, according to some recent statistics and opinion polls.

According to Sipilä, the country needs a strict fiscal discipline and improvement in procurement of public services.
