Two people were killed in a fire that broke out in a house at Pietarsaari in Ostrobothnia on Saturday night.
The police and fire-fighters said a rescue team rushed to the spot responding to alarm, but found a man, a woman and their cat dead.
There was lack of oxygen in the house, which also suffered from serious damage.
The origin of the fire could not be ascertained immediately. The houses nearby in the Adlercreutz Street were not affected by the fire.
