A total of 120 young people in Turku are suspected of drug use, sale of drugs or drug peddling.
Most of them are minors, and for the first time in their lives have ended up under police probe.
According to the police, the youngsters are suspected mainly to have used cannabis, but ecstasy too has been used to some extent.
Among the suspects, 96 are boys and most of them hail from Turku, Lieto and Raisio. The youngest of them was born in 2000.
Most of them are either suspected of drug use or possession. Some of them are also suspected of drug offences such as drug sale.
The Southwest Finland police began preliminary investigation in July. The case has proceeded to the stage of consideration of charges.
