Death of employee after falling from roof

An employee of the company died after falling from a roof 10 metre above the ground in summer of 2013 in Savonlinna.
Furthermore, the company’s district manager for Eastern and Northern Finland was convicted for the same crime and handed a 60-day fine.
The deceased was preparing to replace an old roof coating when he fell. Only a small portion of the worksite was protected by railings.
