Death of girl in Vantaa road accident

The police suspect the driver who ran over a 10-year-old girl in Vantaa had been over-speeding.
 
The driver was able to speak on Tuesday but the police said he could not recall how the accident had happened.
 
The 10-year-old girl died at the scene after she had been run over by a car in Matari District in Vantaa on Monday.
 
The car veered off the road and hit a tree and electric post.
 
The driver, a man of 50, was injured and was taken to hospital.
 
The police are investigating the factors which could have led to over-speeding.
 
Use of alcohol does not seem to be one of the reasons and the police are looking into health issues as well as drug dependency to explain the accident.
