The Tikkurila office of the Citizen Services of the City of Vantaa has moved into brand-new premises in Dixi Shopping Mall with the new name of Vantaa Info, said a bulletin of the city.

Changing the name is aimed at improving Vantaa’s counseling and e-Services by concentrating more and more services under the same roof and by increasing the options of electronic transaction, that is, e-Services.

“Counseling and e-Services are developed for the benefit of the customers, which is why residents have participated in workshops on developing the new Vantaa Info,” says Service Manager Tiina Hörkkö at the City of Vantaa’s Municipal Services.

The residents clearly wished for a one-stop service model, so that they would not have to visit several service points.

“In addition, the residents crave for more active counseling that also tells about the things that they, as customers, cannot think of to ask themselves. Based on this, we are planning, among other things, electronic counseling packages for various life situations; for new Vantaa residents, retirees, or the unemployed,” Hörkkö elaborates.

Tikkurila, Myyrmäki and Korso offices provide full HSL travel-card services where citizen can pay city-issued bills as well as submit residents’ feedback.

The counseling outlets continue to provide information on Vantaa’s hobby and leisure-time activities, cultural provision, tourist attractions, activities for senior citizens, immigrant services and activities, as well as myriad other services provided by the city and its partners.

Public notices, site layout plans, and street plans can be conveniently viewed on a big screen.

Furthermore, Tikkurila’s Vantaa Info offers computers for customers as well as instruction on e-Services.

In addition to using e-Services and surfing the Internet, the residents are hoped to embrace Vantaa Info as a pleasant hangout place, when waiting for a train or planning one’s shopping. Vantaa Info will also arrange lots of different events related to health, education, the environment, and participation.

“We have exhibition premises, and the first exhibition to open is the fine Ring Rail Line exhibition that presents in words and pictures the surroundings along the railway track, which will be opened in the summer,” says Tiina Hörkkö.
