Suomen Sosialidemokraattinen Puolue (Social Democratic Party of Finland)-SDP has risen to the second place with 17.2 percent support, while the Kansallinen Kokoomus (National Coalition Party-NCP) has dropped to third with 16.3 percent.
 
According to an opinion poll commissioned by Yle released on Thursday, the Perussuomalaiset (Finns Party) is fourth, showing it has 14.8 percent of the support.
 
The Vihrea Liito (Green League) and the Vasemistoliito (Left Alliance) are neck to neck with a support return of 8.3 percent and 8.2 percent respectively.
 
The support for NCP has dropped by 0.8 percent from December’s poll, while the popularity of SDP has risen by 1.9 percent over the same period.
 
The popularity of Finns Party has also increased by 1.5 percent from the previous poll.
 
Both the support for the Greens and the Leftists has also has declined from December’s poll.
 
The popularity of Suomen ruotsalainen kansanpuolue (Swedish People’s Party of Finland) has slightly increased while that of the Suomen Kristillisdemokraatit (Christian Democrats of Finland) has dropped.
 
Survey organisation Taloustutkimus conducted the polls, which interviewed a total of 3,419 people between December 29 and January 27. During the polling, 60.8 percent revealed their party allegiance which was slightly less than in December.
 
The margin of error was +/- 1.5 percent.
