A growing number of victims of human trafficking in the country are victims of sex trade.

Sexual abuse was the main reason fresh victims of human trafficking in the country sought assistance from circles offering support.

This was evident from a review of the situation published by the Joutseno Reception Centre.

Last year, 45 victims of sex trade in the country were offered assistance. One in every five cases happened in the country. However, the majority of abuse cases happened abroad, mostly in the Mediterranean countries.
