The government on Friday survived a motion of no-confidence in parliament with 98 votes in favour and 87 against.
 
A total of 14 lawmakers were absent during the voting following the education interpellation tabled by the opposition Suomen Keskusta (Centre Party) and seconded by all the other opposition parties.
 
The interpellation was about the future of education in the country such as the question surrounding permits for organising secondary school education.
 
The interpellation was the eighth during this parliamentary session and the twenty second during this parliamentary term.
