The opposition Suomen Keskusta (Centre Party)  upheld the top position in the popularity as per a recent survey, although the support of party has dropped compared to the previous survey.
 
According to the survey commissioned by the national broadcaster YLE, the popularity of the party now stands at 24.9 percent a significant drop to the all time high support of 26.8 percent it enjoyed during the December survey.
 
The Suomen Sosialidemokraattinen Puolue (Social Democratic Party of Finland), the second component of the four-party alliance government is in the second position with 16.8 percent popularity followed by the largest component of the alliance government Kansallinen Kokoomus (National Coalition Party) with a support base of 16.2 percent.

The support of the opposition Perussuomalaiset (Finns Party) rose by 0.6 percent in the beginning of the year.
 
The Finns Party support based on the current survey is at 15.4 percent. In December, the popularity of Finns Party dropped 13.3 percent.
 
The survey conducted by Taloustutkimus interviewed 3,420 people in between  February 2 and February 24.The margin of error of the survey  was +/- 1.5.
