A man died in Joensuu police custody on Friday afternoon immediate after he was picked up.
Police said that they had taken the intoxicated man to custody at around 3:00 pm and the man was found dead at about 4:00 pm.
According to the police, the man who was a native of Joensuu was taken into the custody while heavily drunk.
The police have launched investigation into the cause of the death.
The prosecutors will decide whether a criminal investigation will be initiated or not.
