The police website <poliisi.fi> went down for several hours on Tuesday following cyber attack, but the National Police Board said it only affected its worldwide web page.
The disruption, however, did not affect the police electronic services or the police operational activities.
The denial-of-service attack which prevents its users to use the network by creating artificial congestion is being investigated by the National Bureau of Investigation.
