The Viljakkala primary school at Ylöjärvi in the Pirkanmaa region received yet another message of threat on the early hours of Monday.

The parents were informed about the latest threat after 5:00 a.m.

According to the head of teaching operations in the school, Leena Pöntynen, the school went about its operations as normal.

The parents, however, had the opportunity to inform the school via electronic notebook platform whether they wanted to keep their children at home on Monday.

The precautionary levels were raised in the school on Monday, following the threat. Both the school’s administration and the police have been cooperating in raising the precautionary levels.

A dozen of schools in Ylöjärvi have received threatening e-mails in the recent past. The perpetrators have managed to conceal tracks by using an anonymous server.
