In comparison, over 300,000 people voted on the last day of advance voting during the previous elections.
In all, more citizens have voted in advance during this parliamentary elections compared to the previous elections.
More than 1.3 million people accounting to 31.9 per cent of the electorate voted during the advance voting which kicked off on April 8.
In the previous elections, the number of votes cast was under 1.3 million amounting to 31.2 per cent of the total electorate.
The advance voting has grown in popularity during the 2000s. In the 2007 elections, 29 per cent of the total electorate voted during the advance voting, which was 25 per cent during the 2003 elections.
Women voters once again were more active than men. So far, about 125,000 more women have voted than men.
The national elections will be held across the country from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm on April 19 to elect 200 parliament members for the next four years.
There are over 900 designated general polling stations in the country where advance voting has taken place.
