About 500 people marched in Helsinki Saturday afternoon in protest of free trade agreements. According to the police, the organized protest proceeded calmly.
The demonstration was part of a global day of action. Protests, marches and demonstrations were held in hundreds of locations in four continents.
The day of action was organized in resistance to trade and investment agreements, most prominently TTIP, CETA, TISA and TPP. According to demonstrators, these agreements are undemocratic and harmful.
