A travelling Finnish couple died in a serious car accident near the city of Hanover in Germany on Monday, reported Finnish language tabloid Ilta-Sanomat.
According to the newspaper, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had confirmed the death of the couple, both aged 65 years.
According to the German police interviewed by Ilta-Sanomat, a lorry run into the Finnish couple travelling van which was not moving due to traffic jam causing it to crash into a heavy duty vehicle in front.
The police are suspecting the un-injured driver of the lorry driver for manslaughter.
According to the police, the Finnish couple were killed instantly.
