At least 19 people were killed and 388 others injured in 324 road traffic accidents in March 2015, according to preliminary data of Statistics Finland.
 
The number of persons killed was seven higher and that of persons injured 32 lower than in March 2014.
 
Of the persons who were killed, 13 travelled by passenger car and one by van.
 
Pedestrians killed in road traffic accidents numbered two and cyclists two. In addition, one other road user was killed.
 
 
A total of 918 road traffic accidents involving personal injury happened in the January to March period. In them, 51 persons were killed and 1,165 persons injured, the data show.
 
The number of persons killed was nine higher and that of persons injured 67 lower than in the corresponding period of 2014.
 
Of the persons who were killed, 33 travelled by passenger car, three by van and one by lorry. Pedestrians killed numbered nine and cyclists two. Three other road users were also killed.
