Camp Marmali, a base located in Northern Afghanistan where Finnish soldiers are deployed came under rocket attack on Friday, said the Finnish Defence Forces.
 
There were no casualties and Finnish troops did not suffer any form of loss either personnel or material.
 
The rocket was fired from outside the base and hit the airport area in the base.
 
According to the Defence Forces, the base covers a vast area where a multinational force is stationed.
 
The personnel in the Finnish crisis management mission- SKJA of about 60 people are stationed in the camp.
 
The identity of the attackers was not confirmed, said the Defence Forces, however, the attack coincided with the launch of spring offensive.
 
Fights between different groups and against the central government usually accelerates in April.
 
Approximately, 80 Finns are involved is the support operation called Resolute Operation which was formed after the ISAF mission ended.
