An elderly man died in a tree felling accident at Nurmes in Northern Karelia on Saturday.
He had been cutting a tree in the yard of his house when the large tree crashed on top of him.
According to the rescue department, they were dispatched immediately, but despite first aid, the man died on the scene.
The exact cause of the accident is unknown at this time. According to the police, crisis assistance has been provided for the neighbourhood.
