Four people were killed in road accidents during the weekend.
 
On Saturday, a young man was killed in a road accident in Aluvus in South Ostrobothnia while a 34-year-old woman died in Eura, Satakunta.
 
On Sunday, a man under the age of 20 perished in a car accident in Alahärmä, South Otrobothnia, whereas a 70-year-old died in another car accident in Kuhmo, Kainuu.
 
In all the cases, the drivers lost control and veered off the road leading to tragic outcomes.
 
According to Statistics Finland preliminary data, 76 people have died in road accidents from January to April.
 
Based on the data, the number of deaths is 20 more than the corresponding period of the last year. The figure is the worst in five years.
