An elderly couple died in a road accident after their car collided with an ambulance in Rantasalmi, South Savonia on Tuesday.
According to the police, the victims of the accident were a 1930 born couple from Rantasalmi.
The patient who was being carried in the ambulance was also injured in the accident. The ambulance was on an emergency call rushing the patient to Kuopio University Hospital.
The visibility was poor and hampered by rain at the scene of the accident which is being probed by the police and the traffic accident investigation board.
