The police suspect foreigners been involved in a number of cases of burglaries committed in Turku and Salo over the weekend.
A terraced house in Norjankatu and a detached house Muntionkatu were broken into on Saturday night. On the same night or the following night, three detached houses in Mennanderinkatu and Ruotsinkatu were burgled.
At least five detached houses were burgled in Tupuri, Salo on Monday night. According to the police, the houses were burgled using the most sheltered route.
The burglars got away with cash and valuables in jewellery from some of the houses.
The police have appealed for information on sightings of suspicious people and vehicles roaming in the area between Friday and Monday.
