A 31-year-old woman was raped on Saturday night at a campsite in Honkilahti, said Satakunta police.

The woman told the police that she had left the restaurant with an unknown man and was heading towards the lodging at the Sieravuori holiday village.

The man forced the woman down and raped her during the journey, said the police who have appealed for witnesses.

Meanwhile, the police have arrested two men suspected for aggravated rape which took place in the Oulu district of Rajakylä on August 4.

The police revealed the suspects have been cooperative during the interrogation but refused to divulge further details regarding the investigation.

“At this stage I do not want to divulge the relationship between the victims and the suspects or the extent of violence used,” the lead investigator, inspector Petri Savela told news agency STT.

The rape suspects are 20 and 30 years old respectively.

The police are also investigating two other rape incidents which took place in Oulu on July 25 and August 2.

“Always when the same type of crime happens in a short span of time and in the same locality, the connection is investigated,” Savela said.
