Lead investigator Inspector Sakari Palomäki  claimed that so far the permits of monster truck show have been found in order and the driver was found to have handled the safety measures as best as he could.

The monster truck accident happened on Saturday in Kauva when a wheel came off and landed on spectators during the Power Truck Show. Four people were hospitalised after the incident.

“The characteristics of fault, gross negligence and intent seem not have been met. For instance, the driver made significant improvements on the car following the previous accident,” Palomäki said.

Also in 2012, a tyre of a monster truck came off at Power Park, revealed the police.

The investigation is still going on, but so far, no foul play has been suspected since organisers have not been found to be negligent.

Palomäki revealed the door has been kept open for the ongoing investigation by the Safety Investigation Authority.

“When the Safety Investigation Authority’s probe is complete we will certainly get more information. So far the case is being kept open,” Palomäki said.
